Goldtail Angelfish Pomacanthus chrysurus

The Goldtail Angelfish has a bright yellowtail, as does the Yellowtail and the Vermiculated, among others. It is also called the Earspot as it has a circle like a false eye behind its real eye to confuse predators. It is native to the African side of the Indian Ocean.

Adults reach some 33cm long. Juveniles look more similar to the adults than for many angelfish in its genus.
