The Flame Angelfish is native to reefs of the Pacific islands of Oceania.
One of the dwarf angelfish, it reaches typically 10cm long but can reach 15cm.
The body is red-orange with dark bars and bright blue borders to the dorsal and anal fins.
Male and female have similar colouring and a large female can transition to male if no male is present.
Its diet is algae, polyps and small crustaceans.
