The Orangefin/Orange-fin Clownfish or Orangefin Anemonefish is native to the western Pacific north of the Great Barrier Reef, including Queensland and New Guinea to the Marshall Islands. There two regional forms: one with a yellow tail (eg around Fiji and Tonga) and one with a white tail (eg aroung the Marshall and Solomon Islands), both shown above.
The white-tailed variant can look similar to its neighbour, the Barrier Reef Anemonefish, but has a darker body and brighter fins. The yellow-tailed variant can look similar to Clark's Anemonefish of the western Pacific, but Clark's has a white band before its yellow tail.
