The Orange Tip butterfly appears early in the spring so it's good that it has a furry body to keep it warm. It is
native to temperate Eurasia.
The male has orange tips with a black edge to his white forewings and mottled underside rear wings.
The female Orange Tip has white upper wings with black markings and no orange tips.
Both male and female have yellow and greenish-black mottled markings on their underside rear wings.
