The Pale-spotted Swallowtail Butterfly is native to Central America. The female, above left, has pink markings on the topside and the male,
above right, has white markings.
Both female, above left, and male, above centre and right, have two rows of pink spots on the underside hind wing and white crescents on the edge,
but the female also has red bordering the white. Both have red spots on the body (thorax).
The two females above left and centre have a stronger red colour than the usual Pale-spotted female above right.
This male has pinkish-white topside spots.
