The Emerald Swallowtail Butterfly, also called the Green-banded Peacock, is native to Southeast Asia.
The green-blue colour varies with the light and direction of view.
The wingspan is up to 10cm (4 inches).
Many related swallowtails are called Narrow or Common, Green or Blue Banded Peacocks and another butterfly not of the swallowtail
family is called just the Banded Peacock.
The underside is mainly black with grey-green flecks and the "peacock eyes".
