Constantine's Swallowtail Butterfly Papilio constantinus

Constantine's Swallowtail Butterfly is native to the eastern side of sub-Saharan Africa. One of the swallowtail family, it has a wingspan of up to 95 mm (the female).

Male and female have a similar appearance. Like most swallowtails the female is slightly larger than the male.

A slight difference in pattern between these two above, particularly relating to the white marks making up the first band (nearer the body).
