The Tiger Leafwings above are tatty and have lost their tails. Although they start out with tails, they are not the
Swallowtail (Papilio) family but long-tailed Charaxes. When closed, the underside is camouflaged, as other Leafwings, like a dead leaf.
Its is native to the Americas, from Mexico to northern South America, overlapping with several similar-patterned Longwings/Tigerwings.
