Atthis Longwing Butterfly Heliconius atthis
The Atthis Longwing Butterfly, sometimes called the False Zebra Longwing, is native to western Ecuador.
Its topside is black with yellowy white stripes and spots reminiscent of the more common Zebra Longwing. Male and female have a similar appearance.
The underside has russet colouring around the trailing edge of both forewings and hind wings.
