Tianshan Grayling Butterfly Oeneis hora

This Grayling-type butterfly, Oeneis hora, is endemic to the Tian Shan mountains in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and to the latter's Alai mountains. It is similar in looks and habits to the Norse Grayling, O. norna, found from Scandinavia across northern Russia and to Japan.
