The Malay Cruiser Butterfly is native to the Malaysian Peninsula, Thailand, Indonesia and the southern Philippines.
There are subspecies on parts of the mainland and on larger islands and island groups. The male, above, has a uniform orange background
with darker orange markings.
The female Malay Cruiser, like the (Australian) Cruiser and Common Crusier, has a different pattern and a white bar across her wings.
She also has bluish tones on the topside and a pale beige underside, like the Common Cruiser of South and Southeast Asia.
