The plushblues are several species (Flos genus) of small butterfly native to tropical/subtropical forests.
They are cryptic brown on the wing undersides, often with a blue wash, and have purple-blue on their rarely-seen topsides.
The Plain Plushblue is an IndoMalayan butterfly with cyptic-patterned brown underside wings and red on the "shoulders".
When in flight, a glimpse of the purple-blue topside is visible (brighter blue with a wider brown border on females).
There is a white-tipped tail on the hindwing and iridescent turquoise (tornal) eyespots. There are several subspecies
over the range from Myanmar/Thailand to the Philippines; shown is F. a. saturatus in Singapore.
