Cory's Shearwater Calonectris borealis/diomedea

Like all shearwaters, Cory's Shearwater spends most of its life far out at sea, coming ashore only to breed. It lives around Madeira, the Canary Islands and the Azores.

They are usually silent at sea but when visiting their nesting colonies, mainly at night so they don't attract attention of gulls/predators, they can be very noisy.
