American Oystercatcher Haematopus palliatus

The American Oystercatcher is native to Atlantic and Pacific coasts of North, Central and South America. These photos were taken by Alexandra Makhnina in Florida, USA.

The eye is yellow with a red eyering, the long beak is dark orange or red and the legs are pink. As its name indicates, it eats beach molluscs.
