The Hadada Ibis is native to much of sub-Saharan Africa. It is named (in Englsh and binomial) after its extremely loud call of "Ha ha ha de da".
Although an ibis, it is as much at home on open grasslands as wetlands, probing for worms and larvae.
Basically grey, it has a glossy, iridescent wing, a white bar under its cheek and a red structure on its upper bill.
