Eastern Cattle Egret Bubulcus coromandus

The tropical "Asian subspecies" of Cattle Egret previously included in B. ibis has been split out by some authorities and called the Eastern Cattle Egret, B. coromandus (with B. ibis called the Western Cattle Egret). The Eastern Cattle Egret has more extensive reddish plumage over its head and neck in breeding plumage (above).
