There is a greenish sheen to the black wings of the male Green Aracari (top left) and the female has dark green or khaki wings (top
right). He has a black head and she a chestnut brown head. They both have pale yellow fronts, a yellow and red top bill and red/orange rumps.
One of the smallest Toucan species, it is unusual for male and female Toucans to show different plumage.
They are native to northeastern South America (Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam).
The bill's long reach and serrated edge is for eating fruit from trees.
