The Himalayan Griffon Vulture is the joint-largest vulture and bird of prey in the Eastern Hemisphere,
together with the Cinereous Vulture which is of similar 9-10 foot wingspan. It is much larger than the similar Indian Vulture
and a bit larger than the Eurasian Griffon Vulture, both related. Its range is the Himalayas and mountains of southeast Central Asia and Tibet.
Its plumage is paler than that of the Eurasian Griffon and the Indian Vulture, creamy beige with dark brown wing edges and tail.
