The Great Grey Owl, also called Lapland Owl, ranges from Scandinavia through north Russia, across the Bering Strait
to Alaska and Canada. It has the largest facial disc of any owl and is the tallest, but much of its size is fluffy plumage to insulate it from
the cold climate and the bird beneath the plumage is much smaller than an Eagle Owl.
The Great Grey Owl hunts by day as well as by night.
The flexible neck: to compensate for not being able to move its eyes, the owl can rotate its neck
