Black-winged Kite Elanus caeruleus

The Black-winged Kite is a smallish kite native to Eurasia and Africa. It is related to the similar-looking Black-shouldered Kite of Australasia and the White-tailed Kite of the Americas. These beautiful photos of a juvenile above were taken by Dr Harsha Vardhan Reddy in India.
