Red-tailed Hawk Buteo jamaicensis

The Red-tailed Hawk is native to the North America, from Canada to central America. It is common throughout North America, both wild and for falconry. Related to the Buzzard, there are several subspecies that vary in appearance and location throughout its region. Females are significantly larger than males.
