Milky Eagle Owl Bubo lacteus

The Milky Eagle Owl, also known as Verreaux's and the Giant Eagle Owl, is native to sub-Saharan Africa. Africa's largest owl, it is also one of the largest owls in the world (after the Eurasian Eagle Owl and Blakiston's Fish Owl) at up to 75 cm length and a 2 metre wingspan.

It has distinctive pink upper eyelids. It hunts mainly by night and sleeps by day.
