Short-toed Snake Eagle Circaetus gallicus
The Short-toed Snake Eagle is unusual among snake eagles in being partially migratory.
It is resident in India but populations in Europe through to Russia and Central Asia migrate south in winter to sub-Saharan Africa and India.
It has a large head for its size as well as short toes for a raptor.
It's diet is mainly snakes and lizards.
