The Red Shining Parrot/ Maroon Shining Parrot is native to Fiji. It looks a little similar to a dark King Parrot. In the sunlight, the green and blue feathers shine.

Prosopeia tabuensis taviunensis shown is native to the island of Taveuni.

The Crimson Shining Parrot, also sometimes called the Red Shining Parrot, is much redder than the Red/Maroon Shining Parrot above and also shines in sunlight. It is native to different islands of Fiji than the Red/Maroon above and looks even more similar to the King Parrots, especially the Buru King Parrot with its black beak.
