Some still class the Yellow-chevronned Parakeet as a subspecies, making the Canary-/White-winged here the nominal subspecies B. v. versicolurus.

The Yellow-chevroned Parakeet, also sometimes called the Canary-winged (as above), is closely related to the White-/Canary-winged Parakeet and was previously considered a subspecies.
