The Horned Parakeet is so named as it has two black feathers with red tips growing from the top of its head.
It has a black face with red brow and orange ears/nape, red eyes, a green body, blue wing-tips and a blue-green tail.
It lives in pine forests on New Caledonia in the South Pacific.
The colours on the male are a little brighter than on the female.

The Uvea or Ouvea Parakeet, also (and previously) called the Uvea/Ouvea Horned Parakeet,
is native to the island of Ouvea in the Loyalty Islands near New Caledonia.
Similar to the Horned Parakeet above, it was previously considered a subspecies but has been split out into its own separate species.
Unlike the Horned Parakeet, its crest has black-green feathers with a less extensive red tip, the dark red brow is less extensive and
the nape and ear feathers are light green rather than orangey-yellow.
