Purple-bellied Parrot Triclaria malachitacea

The only species in its genus, the Purple-bellied Parrot is native to south-eastern Brazil.

Also called the Blue-bellied Parrot, only the male Purple-bellied Parrot, above, has a purple belly.

The female (above left) has an all green front.
