The Blue-winged Macaw, also known as Illiger's Macaw, is native to central/eastern South America.
It has been moved from the main "Ara" group of (now larger) macaws, via
Propyrrhura, to the Primolius group.
It can look as blue-headed as the "Blue-headed Macaw" and has red above its beak, on its belly and lower back and in its tail.
Facial skin is yellowish.
The red belly (but the "Red-bellied Macaw" is a separate species - see below) and painted toe-nails.
