The Scaly-breasted Lorikeet, also called the Green and Yellow Lorikeet, is native to eastern Australia.
(The Citrine Lorikeet, linked below, is also called the Yellow and Green Lorikeet.)
The scaly effect of its green-edged yellow feathers on its front is often less scaly than the Meyer's Lorikeet (see link below).
In addition to the scaly front, it has a red "shoulder" (not always visible) and a blue-green crown.
One of the mutations in aviculture is a dull khaki variant called the Grey-green Scaly-breasted Lorikeet,
such a shame for a bird with such vibrant natural colour.
