The Red-fronted Lorikeet, also called the Red-spotted or Blue-eared, is native to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
It's relative, the Pleasing or Red-flanked Lorikeet is also shown in the above photos for comparison. The male Red-fronted has a red crown and shoulder and a darker blue cheek.
The male Red-fronted Lorikeet also doesn't have the red lower face. Both have a yellow undertail. The female Red-fronted has no red or blue plumage.
