Red-legged/Crested Seriema Cariama cristata

Red-legged Seriema
Crested Seriema
The Red-legged Seriema, also called the Crested Seriema or Crested Cariama, is native to the plains of southern Brazil and northern Argentina. They can run fast but rarely fly. Males and females look alike; as their name suggests they have red legs (usually brighter red than the old male bird shown here), red beaks and pale blue eye shadow.
