The beautiful Siamese Fireback is a pheasant native to Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
The male, shown, is soft grey with black markings, a contrasting light orange back followed by burgundy and irridescent blue rump feathers,
a bright red face wattle and an irridescent blue crest. He has a long, irridescent, dark green tail and red legs. As is usual with pheasants,
the female (not shown) has plainer brown plumage for camouflage.
