The Crested Wood Partridge, also called the Roul-roul Partridge, is native to the forests of Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Borneo.
The male Roul-roul Partridge is a dark iridescent green with a dark brown wing, black head, white brow, red eye-ring,
red beak-spot, red legs and a bushy red tuft of "hair" (the "crest").
The female Roul-roul Partridge is a lighter, duller green with red legs, dark grey head with black collar and a large russet-brown wing patch.
