Mountain Bamboo Partridge Bambusicola fytchii

The Mountain Bamboo Partridge is native to bamboo forest and scrub habitat of India, Bangladesh, Tibet, Thailand and Indochina.

Bamboo partridges are closer to Jungle Fowl and quail than to other partridges. Their plumage provides good camouflage. They can fly well but prefer to run and hide.
