Chinese Bamboo Partridge Bambusicola thoracicus

The Chinese Bamboo Partridge is native to forests and grasslands of eastern China. Bamboo partridges are closer to Jungle Fowl (and chickens) and quail than to other partridges. Male and female have similar plumage. They can fly well but prefer to run and hide.
