Even though these photos are poor quality since it was barely light and the subject was some distance away,
I am told that it is most unusual to see geese in a tree so I post them as unusual behaviour
On "International Dawn Chorus Day" (4th May 2008) at Darlands Lake, NW London, this Canada goose was seen high up in a tree.
Initially we thought it was a heron, since geese are not usually in trees, but drawing closer it was clearly a Canada Goose. Moreover,
from the white markings on the branch in the photo below, it was obviously not the first time the goose/geese had used that branch as a look out.
