Branta species. Native (and national emblem) of Hawaii. The Nene (named after its call) or Hawaiian Goose is the world's rarest goose,
restricted in the wild to volcanic slopes in Hawaiian National Parks. Peter Scott's Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and partners have saved the Nene
from extinction and have several breeding programmes at reserves and parks in the UK and elsewhere.
