The Magellanic, also called Fuegian, (Flightless) Steamer Duck is native to the far south of Argentina and Chile. They are the heaviest ducks and have short, spurred wings, but they don't fly.

Male and female have similar plumage but males are heavier. Males are also are particularly aggressive and will kill ducks of other species on their territory using their wing spurs.
