Bobwhite Quails, also called Northern Bobwhite, as their scientific name indicates, come from the east coast of North America; several subspecies range from USA through to Mexico and the Caribbean. They are also called Virginian Quails. The name "Bobwhite" comes from their usual two-syllable whistling call, said to sound like "Bob White".
