Inca Jay/ Green Jay Cyanocorax yncas

The Green Jay is native to Central and South America, with two separate populations which are usually now treated as different species. When treated as one, the name Green Jay applies to Cyanocorax yncas with two subspecies; when treated as two species, Green Jay is applied Cyanocorax luxosus, the Central American species with a blue crown and the name Inca Jay is applied to Cyanocorax yncas, the Andean species shown here, which often has a light crown.
