The Spotted Dove, also called the Spotted Turtle Dove and the Lace-necked Dove, is native to the Indian sub-continent
and Southeast Asia and introduced to Australia (where photos 2 and 3 above were taken; photo 1 and 4 in Singapore). It is not closely related
to the Turtle Dove nor to the Collared Dove, but is closely related to the Palm/Laughing/Senegal Dove.
The juvenile Spotted Dove has the black eyeline and flecked back/wings but doesn't have the black and white spotted collar.
