The Inca Dove is native from south-western USA along the western side of Mexico and Central America as far as Costa
Rica. Despite the name "Inca", the dove is not native to Peru or any of South America.
A small dove with pretty scalloping on its plumage, it has russet brown on the outer half of its wing
(top and underside), not visible unless the wing is extended (see above right).
