The Yucatan Woodpecker looks very similar to the Red-bellied Woodpecker of the USA and is sometimes called the Red-vented Woodpecker. It is native to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula as well as to Belize and Honduras. These photos were taken in Yucatan by Alexandra Makhnina.
