The White-headed Buffalo Weaver is native to a large part of East Africa.
It is called "Buffalo" weaver as it follows the African Buffalo, eating the insects disturbed.
Male and female have similar plumage, including a white head and front, dark back and tail and a bright orange rump.
It is a gregarious, flocking bird and builds a nest of compacted twigs/grass, divided into rooms and with a downward-facing exit.
