The Taveta Weaver, also called Taveta Golden Weaver, is native to East Africa, mainly to savannah
of Kenya and Tanzania. They live in large flocks.
The male has a bright yellow-orange face, bright yellow underparts and olive upperparts.
The female has much more olive-yellow plumage overall.
Like most other weaver birds, the male weaver constructs a suspended woven-grass nest to attract a female.
The nest is usually suspended over water.
