Golden-backed Weaver
The Golden-backed Weaver, sometimes called Jackson's Weaver, is native to East Africa (South Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi). Like other weavers, it weaves a suspended nest of grass and twine. The breeding male, shown above, has a golden back, black head and chestnut-russet front. The female looks similar to other female yellow weavers.
