Fantailed Warbler
The Zitting Cisticola, also called the Fantailed Warbler, is a small, undistinguished-looking bird with a vast native range from parts of western and southern Europe, scattered grassland parts of north to south Africa (avoiding deserts and rainforest), a small part of the Middle East, much of South and Southeast Asia and northern Australia.

The male has a wonderful courtship flight, including fanning out his white-tipped tail while warbling and hovering in the sky. There are many subspecies over its range; shown is the one of Cyprus and the Middle East with the unfortunate scientific name of C. j. neuroticus.
