The Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush, also called Common Rock Thrush, is a chat, formerly put in the thrush family.
The breeding range is from southern Europe to northern China and it winters in Africa.
The male (above left) has an orange front and grey head/back and the female (above right) is brown with a scalloped front
and white chin. The photos were taken in Kazakhstan by Alexandra Makhnina (who got much closer photos than I did).
