Brazilian Tanager Ramphocelus bresilius

The Brazilian Tanager is native to the eastern coast of Brazil. Above is the striking scarlet adult male.

Juvenile males with speckled, scarlet plumage. They will replace the black mottling for red in full adult plumage and will develop the white "moustache".

The female is dark brown with a chestnut front.
