Steppe Grey Shrike
The Steppe Grey Shrike is generally paler than the Southern Grey. It spends summer in Central Asia and moves to South Asia in winter. Some treat it as a subspecies of the Southern Grey and some treat it as a separate species. The superb photos on this page were taken by Alexandra Makhnina in Kazakhstan (she got far better photos than I did).

Photos of the parent(s) on the nest were taken from a long distance away and care was taken not to disturb the nesting birds.
